EBA - ETHYLENE BUTYL ACRYLATE |
•Ethylene Butyl Acrylate (EBA) is a colorless liquid acrylate with a characteristic odor, prepared by radical polymerization. |
•Because of the butyl acrylate content, it can be used for applications where softness, flexibility and polarity are required. |
• Typical applications include extrusion coating, compounding and adhesives. |
• EBA contains BA (Butyl acrylate monomer) ranging from 3% to 33%. |
FEATURES |
• Soluble in most organic solvents. |
• It is spontaneously flammable. |
• It is slightly soluble in water and slightly less dense than water. Thus, it creates surface lubricity on water. |
• It polymerizes spontaneously due to heating under the effect of combustion and contact with peroxides. |
